The EPLO provides extensive technical assistance services in the area of Commercial and Intellectual Property Law, including:
- Supporting national authorities in revising and drafting laws, by-laws and implementing regulations, in compliance with the EU acquis on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR)
- Assisting the responsible authorities in developing National Strategies and Action Plans, including Enforcement Strategies, related to the Intellectual Property Rights system
- Designing and executing specialized capacity building programs for Government institutions and other stakeholders, including Industrial Property Office, Copyright Office, Judiciary, Public Prosecution, Customs, Police, Market Inspectorates, Collecting Societies and Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs)
- Developing Guidelines and Manuals for Industrial Property Examiners, Law Enforcement Officers, Customs Officials, and other competent institutions, to support the enforcement of IPR legislation
- Organizing public awareness campaigns and events targeted to all IPR stakeholders, supporting the promotion of creative-based industries
