The ELGS organizes special programs each summer on current topics related to the fields of law and governance, which draw on key experts from throughout the world. Through the programs, participants are granted the opportunity to explore the political, institutional, regulatory and supervisory frameworks of evolving fields of law, primarily related to European and International integration.

The 2026 Academy explores how European and national legal systems structure judicial review of administrative actions, how constitutional courts frame standards of control and deference, and how these mechanisms respond to contemporary human rights and rule of law challenges.

Global Administrative Law in practice: Re-imagining the Sustainable Development Goals

20-24 July 2026

Our 2026 program focuses on the governance architecture of the SDGs, fifteen years after their adoption and just four years before the 2030 deadline. The course will examine how different SDGs illustrate the strengths and limits of contemporary global administration. The program anchors its discussions around four Goals whose implementation particularly highlights tensions between multi-level governance and the weakening of multilateral cooperation.
