Human Rights

Human rights are the foundation of human dignity, social justice, and democratic resilience. At the EPLO, we work to protect and promote these rights through training and capacity building, awareness raising and inclusive civic engagement.

Our technical cooperation in this area spans a wide range of initiatives:

  • Strengthening national human rights frameworks and aligning legislation with EU and international standards
  •  Providing training for justice practitioners, police officials, legal professionals, and educators, to improve and enhance protection of human rights
  • Empowering Civil Society Organizations, stakeholders and local actors to promote rights-based governance
  •  Conducting national and transnational research to inform policy-makers on issues related to protection of human rights
  • Raising public awareness on issues such as gender equality, minority rights, and access to justice
