European Review of Public Law

The EPLO Publications’ centerpiece is the European Review of Public Law (ERPL), which is a quarterly publication, established in 1989 to create an international forum for analysis and discussion of issues in the development of constitutional and administrative law in Europe and beyond.

To chronicle the evolution, amongst other things, of national public law, the Review presents, in each issue, recent developments in the domestic legal order of more than 25 countries worldwide, which are summarized and analyzed by authorities in the field.

Additionally, one ERPL issue per year comprises the proceedings of the annual conference of the European Group of Public Law (EGPL), which focuses on a contemporary public law topic of global significance, offering both European and international perspectives.

Recent conferences have covered the following topics:

  • Climate Change and Public Law: Challenges, Policies, Future Perspectives;
  • Digital Transformation: Technology, Fundamental Rights, Public Administration; and
  • A Changing Europe in a Changing World.

Central and Eastern European Legal Studies

The EPLO also publishes the Central and Eastern European Legal Studies (CEELS), which was launched as a semi-annual periodical publication in 2013, and aims at providing academics coming from Central and Eastern European (CEE) countries, as well as academics from other countries specializing in this field the opportunity to come together and exchange views on region-specific public law issues.

Latin American Public Law Review

The Latin American Public Law Review (LatAmPLRev) is a semi-annual journal published by the EPLO Office in Rome. It was launched in 2025 as an initiative of the European Public Law Organization (EPLO), operating through its Mexican Chapter (Capítulo Mexicano).

The journal aims to be a scientific medium, designed to air Latin American research on public law and to spread in the region and the world the European and world knowledge on the area. It is oriented to articles on public law issues related to Latin American experiences and realities; the European and other origins’ thought on public law.

Short articles dealing with developments in recent legislation and case-law within the Latin American institutions, book reviews and academic news of general interest are also within the scope of the Latin American Public Law Review.

The journal appeals to academics, practitioners and researchers including those among the younger generation with experience and knowledge on its area of interest to submit their contribution.

European Journal of History and Culture

The European Journal of History and Culture (EurJHC) constitutes an initiative of the EPLO, operating through its Institute for Humanities and Culture “Nicos Svoronos”, established for the promotion of research and training, inter alia, in history and culture. Despite its name as “European”, the Journal shall be open to all scientific forces of the world.

The European Journal of History and Culture is a biannual publication of the EPLO (Office in Rome), seeking to address key issues and current scientific discussions. According to the EPLO philosophy and tradition, it welcomes contributions which adopt a comparative approach and favor both diversity and intergenerational dialogue in the fields of history and culture meant in all its forms and expressions, including cultural heritage in its several dimensions (tangible, natural, intangible). It has been conceived to prioritize issues pertaining to the widest possible geographical area of the Mediterranean, where the ancient civilizations which are now represented in the so-called Greco-Roman civilization were born and also where modern European civilizations took form, in a dialogue with all the cultures of all nations, throughout the centuries.

The European Journal of History and Culture appeals to everyone working in the areas of History or Culture to submit the result of their work for publication.
