PROJECT TITLE: Enforcement of EU Intellectual and Industrial Property Legislation in Estonia

OVERALL OBJECTIVE: To contribute to the efforts of Estonia in efficiently implementing and enforcing the EU intellectual, as well as industrial property rights legislation.
ACTIVITIES:
The project expert team followed the legal and institutional framework and experience of EU and Greece and offered guidance on the harmonization of Estonian IP Law where needed. Furthermore, the team focused on the improvement of understanding and public awareness on the need of IP protection and on the coordination of different state authorities dealing with IP matters.
Project activities included:
- Drafting of IP legislation line with the best practices of the EU;
- Training of enforcement authorities and collecting societies;
- Publication of two collections of cases (one related to intellectual property rights, and one related to industrial property rights).
