Migration and Anti-Trafficking

Migration governance and the fight against human trafficking are critical challenges for democratic societies and international cooperation. At the EPLO, we work to support humane, rights-based responses to migration, while strengthening institutional capacity to prevent and combat trafficking in human beings.

Our technical cooperation in this area focuses on:

  • Policy development and legal reform in migration, asylum, and anti-trafficking frameworks
  • Capacity-building for border authorities, law enforcement, and judicial actors
  • Cross-border cooperation to address transnational crime and protect vulnerable populations
  • Awareness-raising and civic engagement to combat stigma, promote integration, and empower at-risk communities

We have implemented projects across the Balkans, Eastern Europe, and the Mediterranean—supporting national strategies, training public officials, and fostering regional dialogue. Our work contributes to the alignment of national systems with EU and international standards, while promoting solidarity, protection, and the rule of law.

At EPLO, we believe that effective migration management and anti-trafficking efforts must be grounded in human rights and institutional accountability.
