PROJECT TITLE: How to Apply the European Union Charter of Fundamental Rights in the Balkans - HUB
COUNTRIES: Greece, Bulgaria, Romania
OVERALL OBJECTIVE: The objective of the Project was to train Judges, Prosecutors and Lawyers in Greece, Romania and Bulgaria, on the interpretation and application of the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union (the Charter) and the Council Framework Decision 2008/913/JHA on combating certain forms and expressions of racism and xenophobia.
ACTIVITIES: The main activities of the Project involved: (i) the organization of specialized Training Programs for Judges, Prosecutors and Lawyers, in Greece, Romania and Bulgaria; (ii) the development of the Project Web Platform (https://eu-hub.eu), to serve as an online educational and information tool on the EU Charter for legal practitioners in the three project countries; (iii) the organization of dissemination and public information events.
