OVERALL OBJECTIVE

The overall objective of the VAST project to make information on victims’ rights accessible and disseminate knowledge on the availability of mechanisms and processes at the EU and domestic level in a sustainable manner. The project aims to strengthen the knowledge on and enahancethe implementation of victims’ rights, especially victims of domestic and sexual violence, through the:

  • development of working methods transferable to EU/SAP/ENP States;
  • exchange of information among target groups/final beneficiaries;
  • development of EU-wide information tool;
  • capacity building seminars to target groups;
  • strengthening cooperation between authorities-civil society;
  • dissemination of information;
  • drafting EU legislation effectiveness analysis.

ACTIVITIES

  • Analysis of the legal frameworks governing victims’ rights in the European Union and development of a concept for psycho-social accompaniment rights.
  • Development of ViSuAl, a tool that allows access to victims rights organisations in all Member States to enhance accessibility.
  • Organize four Trainings Programs for stakeholders working with victims of crime.
  • Dissemination activities and publications.
