PROJECT TITLE: INTERREG III A COMMUNITY INITIATIVE - Specialized Education and Training towards Trans Border Cooperation

OVERALL OBJECTIVE: To promote the development of regions in Greece and Cyprus by contributing to their economic and functional enhancement through the training of civil servants of the authorities of the eligible areas and to enrich the knowledge and the skills of the participants in the training seminars in order to better orient them to current conditions, as those are shaped by political and economical changes.
ACTIVITIES:
The activities of the project mainly focused on capacity building trainings for civil servants belonging to different sectors of the public administration. The training seminars were held both in Greece and in Cyprus and dealt with several issues, namely: immigration, e-governance, labour security, European projects and risk management, European institutions, European environmental law, national courts’ jurisdiction and customs issues. The seminars had an interactive approach and the project enjoyed mass- media coverage.
