The European Public Law Organization (EPLO) is proud to announce the publication of the latest report by the Global Rule of Law Commission, dedicated to the state and evolution of the Rule of Law across the African continent.
This landmark report, officially presented to the United Nations, offers a comprehensive and constructive analysis of legal systems in Africa, exploring key indicators such as judicial independence, access to justice, government accountability, and legal certainty. Drawing on African data, case studies, and regional innovations, the Commission highlights both the strengths and challenges facing legal institutions today.
The report aims to foster dialogue, offer practical insights, and support reform efforts. It emphasizes the richness of Africa’s legal pluralism, the role of customary law, and the importance of collective rights in shaping governance frameworks.
