EPLO Director's Visit to Ljubljana, Slovenia

EPLO Director, Prof. Spyridon Flogaitis, visited Ljubljana for the purpose of discussing with government officials the prospect of Slovenia joining the EPLO as a new member state, on the occasion of the official visit of H.E. the President of the Hellenic Republic, Mr. Karolos Papoulias, to Slovenia. 

Specifically, the Director held meetings with the Minister of Justice, the Minister of Public Administration, the Minister of Interior, the Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as the Legal Adviser of the Office of the President of the Republic, in order to discuss all aspects involving Slovenia’s potential membership in the EPLO, including the obligations that Slovenia would have to assume towards the EPLO.  In addition, the Director held meetings involving discussions on the different procedures for universities’ accession to the EPLO in reference to the University of Ljubljana’s potential membership. 

The visit was supported by D1 Directorate for the UN & International Organizations and Conferences of the D1 and B8 Directorates of the Hellenic Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and was organized by the Greek Embassy in Ljubljana.
