The Director of the European Public Law Organization (EPLO), Professor Spyridon Flogaitis, undertook an official visit to Brussels on 23 January 2026 for the signature of a Headquarters Agreement between the Kingdom of Belgium and the EPLO, with H.E. François de Kerchove d’Exaerde, Ambassador and President of the Interministerial Committee for Headquarters Policy, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belgium.
The formal signing ceremony was also attended by:
Ms. Derya Aydin, Expert of the Interministerial Committee for Headquarters Policy, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belgium
Sofia Basina, Legal Expert Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Belgium,
Dionyssios Kalamvrezos, former Ambassador of Greece to Belgium, Head of the EPLO Office in Brussels
and Panos Gredis, Deputy Head of the EPLO in Brussels
With the signature of the Headquarters Agreement, an EPLO Liaison Office will officially be established in Brussels, Belgium, that will be accredited to the EU in due course.
This milestone marks an important step in strengthening the EPLO’s institutional presence and cooperation framework within Belgium and the European Union.
