The EPLO carried out a mission to Damascus, Syria, from 25 to 27 January 2026. The EPLO delegation, led by Mr. Andrea De Maio, Director for Programs, held meetings with Syrian Government counterparts and international partners aimed at exploring cooperation opportunities in Syria.
As part of the mission, the EPLO delegation joined the Italian Ambassador H.E. Stefano Ravagnan in an official meeting with the Minister of Administrative Development H.E. Muhammad Hassan Al Skaf and senior officials of the Ministry of Administrative Development.
During the meeting, the Ministry officials and the EPLO delegation had a constructive exchange regarding potential areas for cooperation and development of an institutional partnership. H.E. Minister Al Skaf also outlined the vision of the Ministry of Administrative Development to reform and modernize the Public Administration in Syria.
