Considering that the issue of education and training should constitute a priority in the fight against corruption, the General Secretary of Transparency and Human Rights, Mr. G. Sourlas, met with members of the Management of the Academy of Transparency & Human Rights for Good Governance.
The said Academy constitutes one of the new pillars of the European Public Law Organization, in whose Board of Directors the Ministry of Justice, Transparency and Human Rights also participates. The Professor and Director of the International Organization, Mr. Spyridon Flogaitis, the Director & President of the Academic Board of the Academy, and the Spokesman of the Organization, Mr. Ioannis Politis, attended the meeting on behalf of the Academy.
It was ascertained from the discussion that the Academy is already in the position to assume relevant activities relating to the prevention and repression of corruption, which are the main axes of the National Anti-Corruption Action Plan.
At the end of the meeting, Mr. G. Sourlas once again underlined the need for general engagement towards the common goal, which must be none other than the eradication of corruption phenomena and the consolidation of transparency, something that, among other ways, will be achieved through the correct education, which will be gained through learning and training.
