On 25 June 2014, the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Albania, Mr. Nasip Naco, signed the International Treaty establishing the EPLO. The signing took place 24 hours following Albania being granted the official status of candidate country for membership in the EU. The Republic of Albania became the fourteenth state to join the EPLO Board of Directors.
