Kick-off Meeting in the Framework of INTERREG III A GREECE-CYPRUS “Specialized Education and Training towards Trans Border Cooperation” Project

The EPLO, in collaboration with the Cyprus Academy of Public Administration, launched on 18 April 2007 in Chania, Crete the Kick-off Meeting of the Project INTERREG III A GREECE-CYPRUS “Specialized Education and Training towards Trans Border Cooperation”.

The speakers in this event included representatives of the Public Authorities of Crete and of the Contracting Authority of INTERREG III, the Director of the Cyprus Academy of Public Administration, as well as the Deputy Director and the Director of Research and Programs of the European Public Law Organization.

The audience consisted mainly of civil servants from the Municipalities and the Prefectures of Crete, as well as representatives of the media.

The following issues were discussed during the kick-off meeting:

  • The history and the activities of the European Public Law Organization
  • The profile of the Cyprus Academy of Public Administration
  • The general framework of the Community Initiative INTERREG III
  • The Project “Specialized Education and Training towards Trans Border Cooperation”

Ms. P. Protopsaltis, Deputy Director, Prof. M. Maganaris, Director of

Research and Programs, Ms. A. Kokosiouli, Director of Finances, Ms. D. Spanoudi, Head of Institution Building Unit, and Ms. A. Drandaki, Associate Researcher/ Project Manager, represented the EPLO in the aforementioned meeting.
