The Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI), in collaboration with the Tax Academy of the European Public Law Organization (EPLO), organized the event “Taxation & Business Development: Proposed Interventions for Improving the Business Environment,” with the participation of representatives from government, institutional bodies and the business community.
The event opened with introductory remarks by Anastasios Iosifidis, 3rd Vice President of EBEA, and Patroklos Georgiadis, Coordinator of Institutes and Academies of the EPLO.
This was followed by a governmental address by the Deputy Minister of National Economy and Finance responsible for Tax Policy, Mr. Giorgos Kotsiras, who presented the topic,“Tax Policy as a Lever for Sustainable Entrepreneurship and Social Cohesion.”
Next, the Governor of the Independent Authority for Public Revenue (AADE), Mr. Giorgos Pitsilis, presented the Authority’s initiatives to support entrepreneurship and the transition to a more effective and modern tax environment.
The central panel discussion, titled “From Tax Policy to the Real Economy – Which Rules Build Growth,” was moderated by journalist Dinos Siomopoulos. The panel featured:

During the discussion, emphasis was placed on the importance of predictable regulations, enhancing liquidity, and providing targeted investment incentives that support growth and investment.
