Seminar on the “Fight against Organised Crime: EU policy instruments and best practices from EU Member States”

The Technical Assistance and Information Exchange instrument (TAIEX) of the Directorate-General Enlargement of the European Commission and the European Public Law Center (EPLC) co-organized a seminar on the “Fight against Organised Crime: EU policy instruments and best practices from EU Member States” on 25 and 26 January in Vienna, with the participation of public officials from the Ministries of Justice and Interior of the Western Balkan countries and Turkey, as well as speakers from six EU Member States, namely, Belgium, France, Germany, Greece, Italy and the United Kingdom, along with Europol and Eurojust. 

The seminar aimed at strengthening the capacities of the civil servants coming from potential and candidate countries to the European Union in the fight against organised crime, according to the EU standards, and providing them with the best practices, analytical methods and techniques used in the fight against organised crime in the EU Member States.
