Online event on "Judge's freedom of expression"

The online event on "Judge's freedom of expression" was held with great success on Tuesday 12 October by the Institute for Justice and Development of the European Public Law Organization (EPLO).

The discussion was initiated  by the Director of the European Public Law Organization, Mr. Spyridon Flogaitis, who welcomed the event and praised the work of the Institute. Afterwards, the President of the Institute for Justice and Development, Mr. Nikolas Kanellopoulos, after welcoming the distinguished speakers, presented the questions and concerns that arise around the issue of freedom of expression of modern judicial officials both during the exercise of their duties as well as in their private sphere.

This was followed by Messrs. Petros Alikakos, Doctor of Laws, President of Courts of First Instance, Stergios Kofinis, Doctor of Laws, Court of First Instance of Administrative Courts, Antonis Papagiannidis, Lawyer, Journalist, Lillian Mitrou, Professor at the School of Computer Science and Director of the Institute for Protection of Privacy, Personal Data and Technology, Kyriakos Oikonomou, rt. Judge, High Court of Justice

The event was coordinated by Mr. George Stavropoulos, Honorary Vice President of the Council of State, former Chairman of the National Commission for Human Rights, former Minister.
