EPLO’s Director received by Armenian President

The President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan received Professor Spyridon Flogaitis, Director and President of the Board of Directors of the European Public Law Organization (EPLO) on December 17, the day that Prof. Flogaitis arrived in Yerevan to attend the opening ceremony for the new branch of the Organization in the Armenian capital.

The Armenian leader welcomed the guest and during the one hour meeting highlighted the importance of the opening of the EPLO branch in Armenia.

"Our country is also an advocate of the dissemination of European values and since gaining independence, in cooperation with our European partners, we have achieved certain progress, though there are still many problems the resolution of which is very important," Sargsyan said, as quoted by his press service.

The EPLO director expressed his gratitude to Armenia for the opportunity to open a branch in Yerevan and for the country's willingness for cooperation.

Prof. Flogaitis also pointed out the EPLO's willingness to support Armenia in implementing reforms, retraining specialists and other issues. Cooperation with Armenia could set a good example to other countries of the region, he emphasized.

Armenia, one of the 14 countries members of the EPLO, joined the Organization in 2011.
