EPLO Director Professor Spyridon Flogaitis visited Oslo for the purpose of discussing with government officials the prospect of Norway joining the EPLO as a new member state.
Specifically Professor Flogaitis visited the Ministry of Justice and the Police, as well as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in order to discuss with high-ranking officials all aspects involving Norway’s potential membership in the EPLO including the obligations that Norway would have to assume towards the EPLO. Also, Professor Flogaitis gave a speech in his capacity as President of the United Nations Administrative Tribunal at Norway’s Bar Association, following the Association President’s request.
Finally, Professor Flogaitis visited the Center for Human Rights of the University of Oslo.
The visit was supported by D1 Directorate for the UN & International Organizations and Conferences of the Hellenic Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and was organized by the Greek Embassy in Oslo.
