The EPLO was pleased to organize a two-day high-level conference titled "EPLO 2025 Dialogues – Greece and the State of the EU: From Politics to Policy and to Civil Society Involvement." The event took place on Friday and Saturday, 16–17 May 2025, at the EPLO premises in Plaka, Athens.
The Dialogues gathered prominent figures from European institutions, academia, and civil society to engage in a multi-dimensional discussion on the current state and future direction of the European Union. Key topics included the priorities of the new European Commission, the Strategic Agenda of the European Council, Greece’s role in the UN Security Council, EU enlargement, and the application of major strategic reports such as the Niinistö, Draghi, and Letta reports.
The second day featured a dedicated focus on EU careers and the decision-making process, including a negotiation workshop simulating the functioning of EU institutions.
The EPLO 2025 Dialogues aimed to foster informed civic participation and promote a deeper understanding of EU policy dynamics, institutional structures, and the role of civil society in shaping Europe’s future.
