PROJECT TITLE: Development of Structural Funds Electronic Information System for the Ministry of Finance (MoF) and for Agricultural Registers and Information Board and Development of an IT System for the Administration of EAGGF Guarantee Section Rural Development Plan (RDP) Measures

OVERALL OBJECTIVE: To strengthen the Agricultural Registers and Information Board (ARIB) administrative capacity to effectively administrate European Agricultural Guidance and Guarantee Fund (EAGGF) Guidance and Guarantee section rural development and Financial Instruments for Fisheries Guidance (FIFG) support measures. The objectives included providing the necessary input for the production of respective technical specifications for software development for the administration of Single Programming Documents measures.
ACTIVITIES:
The project’s trainings, in the form of seminars and workshops were provided to a number of selected ARIB staff, regarding the technical aspects of management and administration. Trainings were carried out in the form of the ‘Train the trainee’ method, especially concerning an overview of the administrative system of the Member State. The project included five study visits for several Estonian experts in the following areas of interest: Land improvement and re-parcelling, Development of forestry, Local initiative based projects, Modernization of fishing ports, Restructuring of fishing fleet, Promotion of new market outlets.
