PROJECT TITLE: ALFA DIKIA II - The Role of the Judiciary in a State Governed by the Rule of Law

COUNTRIES: Latin America

OVERALL OBJECTIVE: To support the comparative research efforts of Latin American students in Europe and of European students in Latin America. Specifically, the project intended to promote the interaction of Latin American academics with their EU counterparts, through the organization of a dedicated lecture series targeted chiefly to postgraduate students.

ACTIVITIES:

The main activities included the hosting and training of students in the field of comparative public law, through the offer of several research grants of duration of six months each.  Part of EPLC staff and office facilities had been allocated as to guarantee a tutor and a mentor to the incoming students and to provide them with the appropriate conditions for work and research, including access to the EPLC library.
