The new series of International Lectures on reforms entitled "The Discussions of Janus", organized under the scientific coordination of Professors Procopis Pavlopoulos, Minister of Interior and Evangelos Venizelos, Member of Parliament and former Minister, was officially inaugurated on 12 February 2008 at the EPLO premises in Kolonaki, Athens.
The first lecture on the subject of "Reforms" was given by Professor Giuliano Amato, Minister of Interior and former Prime Minister of the Republic of Italy.
After a short welcoming address given by Professor Spyridon Flogaitis, Director of the EPLO, the introductory speeches were given by Professor Procopis Pavlopoulos and Professor Evangelos Venizelos.
The lecture, recorded by Greek television and transmitted on air, was a great success and was attended by high-ranking representatives of the Hellenic Ministry of Foreign Affairs and foreign powers represented in Greece, of the Hellenic Ministry of Interior, the Presidents and many vice-presidents of all the Supreme Courts of the Hellenic Republic, members of the Hellenic Judicial Authorities, academics and high-level personalities of the Athenian society, and was followed by a small reception.
