The European Public Law Organization (EPLO), in cooperation with the Court of Appeal of Athens, the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany, and the Heinrich Böll Foundation, organized a conference on the topic: “Climate Change as a New Legal Challenge in National, International, and EU Legal Orders.”
The conference took place on Monday, 16 June 2025, at the Goethe-Institut Athens, Omirou 14–16, from 10:30 to 16:00.
The event featured two main sessions:
- Session I: Legal responses to climate change at the international and EU level
- Session II: Legal approaches to climate change at the national level
The conference aimed to explore the evolving legal landscape shaped by the climate crisis, bringing together high-level representatives from the Greek judiciary, the German Embassy, the organizing institutions, and experts from both Greece and Germany.
