Conference entitled "Law and Anti-Corruption Policy in Greece and Internationally"

With a book under the title "Law and Anti-Corruption Policy" a new series of Publications was launched under the auspices of the Academy of Transparency & Human Rights of the European Public Law Organization. On the occasion of this launch an international conference entitled "Law and Policy Against Corruption in Greece and Internationally" took place on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at 18:30 at the EPLO premise in Plaka (Dioscouron and Polygnotou 2 St., opposite the Roman Agora).

The conference was addressed by: Mr Ioannis S. entes, Prosecutor of the Supreme Court, former National Coordinator against Corruption, Ms. Candice Welsch, Chief Implementation Support Section, Corruption and Economic Crime Branch, Division for Treaty Affairs, UN Office on Drugs and Crime and Mr. Dimitri Ziouvas, Ass. Professor on Criminal Law at the Panteion University of Athens. The event was moderated by the journalist Mr. Ph. Karzis.

This edition who has been supervised by Dr Dimitris Ziouvas, by adopting an interdisciplinary, cross-sectoral and holistic approach to the understanding and combating of corruption presents new criminal provisions against corruption, and also the administrative provisions of public procurement law and disciplinary law. This project also includes proposals for the formation of an effective criminal policy against corruption on the basis of international best practices and the international legal framework.

The book is prefaced by the H.E The President of the Hellenic Republic Mr. Prokopios Pavlopoulos.
