OVERALL OBJECTIVE

The project aims to strengthen regulatory governance for large-scale food fortification by providing expertise in regulatory delivery. It seeks to develop a scorecard methodology to assess the strengths and weaknesses of food fortification regulatory systems, encouraging countries to reform their regulatory and administrative frameworks. Additionally, the project will generate relevant data, conduct in-depth analysis, and provide indicators to evaluate regulatory performance and identify areas for reform in selected countries.

ACTIVITIES

EPLO IRIDE participates in the following activities:
1.    Review regulatory delivery systems for large-scale food fortification in selected countries, identifying barriers and best practices.
2.    Assess key elements of regulatory systems in up to four countries and identify challenges.
3.    Contribute to reform recommendations tailored to each country’s needs, ensuring feasibility and alignment with project goals.
4.    Review & refine survey questions, scoring methodology, and country reports to assess regulatory frameworks.
