PROJECT TITLE: Use of Data Mining for the Creation of Analytical Models in Customs

OVERALL OBJECTIVE: To strengthen the analytical capacities of the Lithuanian Customs personnel in using modern IT tools for law enforcement and specifically to enhance the tire use of data mining for the creation of specific models for tire analytical solutions in the area of customs law enforcement.

ACTIVITIES:

The activities of the project included:

  • Preparation of an Action Plan on Model Building and Exploitation of Data Identification of the Business Needs;
  • Delivery of conceptually designed Data Intelligence Models for Data Mining purposes;
  • Workshops for the development of the data mining procedures and for their application on the data base;
  • Courses of development of the agreed Data Mining procedures;
  • Testing and rectification of the procedures produced;
  • Study Visit for key officials of the Lithuanian Customs in Greece with the aim to get a thorough insight into the IT Systems of Customs in Greece and their exploitation regarding Data Mining and Business Intelligence.
