PROJECT TITLE: Training of Border Inspection Posts’ staff and Veterinary Field

COUNTRIES: Hungary

OVERALL OBJECTIVE: To assist in the re-organization, preparation and adjustment of the veterinary sector of Hungary in order for it to align with the EU through the effective transposition of the EU legislation pertaining to the operation of Border Inspection Posts by the Hungarian Veterinary Services, as well as to provide training to staff employed in Hungarian Border Inspection Posts (BIPs) in the practical implementation of such legislation.

ACTIVITIES:

The main activities included:

  • Review of existing Hungarian legislation;
  • Review of the acquis communautaire and harmonization of Hungarian legislation governing BIPs;
  • Theoretical training of staff working in Hungarian BIPs by Greek Veterinary experts;
  • Practical training of Hungarian veterinary inspectors in Greek BIPs;
  • Development of Manuals, Standard Forms and Documents.
