PROJECT TITLE: THE MICHAIL PSELLOS PROJECT I - Creation of a Master's in European Public Law and European Integration at the University of Bahçesehir in Istanbul

OVERALL OBJECTIVE: To create a Master’s programme in European Public Law and European Integration in order to prepare the jurists in Turkey for the country’s European perspective. 

ACTIVITIES: 

It consisted of training students on both European Public Law and the European Institutions as well as the current political, legal, social and economic situation within the EU through the encouragement of the participants' familiarization with the EU policies and politics. The proposed program of post-graduate studies led to obtaining an academic title, while at the same time it offered students the opportunity to follow specific modules according to their field of expertise.

Activities included: 

  • Organization and implementation of a study program with the collaboration of Turkish and European professors;
  • Organization of stages for the students in Greece and other EU countries;
  • Organization of a one-week study visit to Greece for several Turkish jurists;
  • Organization of a six-month scholarship for studies and research in Greece and other EU countries.
