PROJECT TITLE: Preparation of the Agricultural Market Agency (AMA) as Paying Agency

OVERALL OBJECTIVE: The accreditation of the Agricultural Market Agency (AMA) as a EU Paying Agency starting from the date of accession of Poland into the EU.
ACTIVITIES:
The project aimed at preparing AMA to meet the requirements of Regulation 1663/ 95 concerning accreditation as the paying agency, implemented CAP mechanisms in AMA’s headquarters and its regional branches, and an information system for CAP beneficiaries on particular schemes and instruments.
Main activities included:
- Renewal and presentation of the appropriate rules and conditions for compliance with accreditation guidelines of Commission Regulation (EC);
- Overview of the activities that will have to be implemented in order to prepare AMA for accreditation as paying agency;
- Recommendations implemented in designated areas of the procedure for clearance of the accounts of the EAGGF Guarantee Section;
- Organization of two study visits to the Netherlands;
- Organization of one study visit to Greece;
- Validation of the AMA IT systems, including IT system quality, database administration, management system and telecommunication connections.
