PROJECT TITLE: POROS Project EU/INDIA - Economic Cross-cultural Program

OVERALL OBJECTIVE: To strengthen the relations between EU and India in the field of university studies, especially in the field of legal studies.
ACTIVITIES:
Among various activities envisaged it is worth mentioning the organization of the Introductory Course on EU law held by European academics, giving the opportunity to Indian graduate students to acquire knowledge on the architecture of the European Communities and the EU. Furthermore, several seminars and conferences were organized on a variety of topics including human rights, e- government, environmental protection, regional integration and were addressed to students, local NGOs, jurists and public administration officials. In addition, European and Indian students were given the opportunity to spend a month in India and Europe respectively, in order to conduct research and become familiarized with different settings and legal traditions. Finally, the proceedings of the seminars and conferences and the comparative studies of the exchanged students were published in a special volume of the EPLS publication series.
