PROJECT TITLE: Establishment of Infrastructure of the Investigation, Disclosure and Prevention of Crimes of Intellectual Property and Cyber-Crimes in the Police System

OVERALL OBJECTIVE: To strengthen the capacity of Lithuanian Law enforcement institutions (i.e. police, state border guard, customs officers and prosecutors) to fight against crimes related to intellectual property rights and cyber-crimes, through the implementation of the essential provisions of the Convention of Bern, Rome, Geneva and Budapest. The above also included the possibility to fight against crimes where modern technologies were used and to procure and install necessary equipment that would ensure effective and efficient cooperation among them.
ACTIVITIES:
Project activities include:
- Gap analysis of current police administrative capacities;
- Establishment of an IPR Coordination Consultation Group;
- Preparation of a Manual on IPR legal framework and enforcement as well as general and standard operational procedures.
