The European Institute of Management and Governance of the EPLO has been officially accepted as a partner in the campaign of the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work (EU-OSHA) and has organized series of events on «The management of stress and psychosocial risks in the Public Sector ».
The first conference was held in collaboration with the Ministry of Labour, Social Security and Welfare, on Tuesday, December 16, 2014, in Athens. It was the first to take place in Greece addressing the Public Administration is concerned. The turnout was massive and the main conclusions are summarized in the following:
1. There is great need for institutional measures for the management of stress in the Public Administration in Greece,
2. There is great need for public servants training in prevention, detection and management of stressful sources in the workplace and,
3. There is great need for the institutionalization of the occupational medicine in all public services.
Given the significant success of this workshop, the European Institute of Management and Governance of the EPLO organized two more conferences forthe public sector one in Athens for the employees of the Manpower Employment Organization and one at the city of Sparta, Peloponnese for the District employees.
More specifically the conference on "stress management and psychosocial risks for employees at the Manpower Employment Organization (OAED) was organized by the European Institute of Management and Governance of the European Public Law Organization in collaboration with the Ministry of Labor, on June 4, 2015 in Athens, at the Foreign Affairs Ministry, under the unbrella of the European Campaign "Safe and Healthy Workplaces" 2014 -2015. The conference was held by request of the Manpower Employment Organization Employees' Federation.
The aim of the conference was to highlight best practices of reducing work-related stress during peak periods. The turnout was massive.
