The kick-off meeting for the Twinning Project "Improved Capacity of Civil Enforcement Offices" took place at the Union of Turkish Public Notaries, in Ankara, on 18 January 2012.
The event was hosted by the Minister of Justice of Turkey, Mr Sadullah Ergin, and was attended by the Ambassador of Spain Mr. Cristobal Gonzalez-Aller Jurado, the Ambassador of Greece Mr. Fotios Xydas and the Deputy Head of the European Union Delegation to Turkey, Mr. Tibor Varadi.
The meeting marked the official launch of the project and involved the presentation of all actors from both the implementing and the beneficiary institutions among them, as well as to the press.
The project aims at strengthening the institutional capacity of the enforcement offices to ensure effectiveness and efficiency of the enforcement service according to the European standards and best practices.
The Spanish Fundación Internacional y para Iberoamérica de Administración y Políticas Públicas (FIIAPP) and the EPLO/EPLC implement the project, which has twenty-one months duration.
