Greek Delegation Mission to Iran, Tehran

A EPLO delegation comprised of Professor D. Kallinikou, Professor of Intellectual Property Law at the University of Athens, Professor E. Dakoronia, Professor of Property Law at the University of Athens, Professor. G. Lekkas, Lecturer of Family Law at the University of Athens, Mr. I. Kikkis, expert on Intellectual Property Law, and Ms. D. Spanoudi, Head of Institution Building Unit of EPLO, visited Tehran on 20 - 22 July 2007 within the framework of the Project: “ARISTOTELIS - Establishment of an EPLO Branch in Tehran, Iran”. During this visit several meetings with officials from the Judiciary Power and the State Organisation for Registration of Deeds and Properties were organized.

Specifically, the Greek delegation was received by His Excellency the Deputy of Judiciary Power and President of Registration Deeds and Properties, Mr. H. Amiri, the Deputy of the President on Deeds, Mr. A. Mirsharifi, the Deputy of the President on Properties, Mr. M. Bokaeian, the G.M. of the President’s Office, Mr. A. Afshar, the G.M. for Deeds and Properties, Mr. M. Yadegari, the G.M. for Deeds and Properties, Mr. M. Yadegari, the G.M. for Registration and Industrial Properties, Mr. M. Kiani, the G.M. of Tehran’s Province Registration Department, Mr. H. Adabi, the G.M. of Legal Department, Mr. H. Ghorbani, the Adviser to the President, Mr. J. Seddighi, the Adviser on Intellectual Property, Mr. M. Taromsari, the Advisor on Deeds, Mr. Gh. Ghasempour, the G.M. for Deeds Affairs and Notary Bureaus, Mr. H. Moezeddini and Former Diplomat/International Relations Advisor, Mr. Ali Massoumi. 

The delegation was also received by the Greek Ambassador in Iran, His Excellency Mr. M. Karafotias. The delegation also had the opportunity to visit Tehran’s Registration Department, as well as several notary public offices. The meetings led to very fruitful conclusions regarding the future collaboration between the EPLO and the State Organisation for Registration of Deeds and Properties in the respective fields of Intellectual Property Law, Property Law and Family Law.

A visit of Iranian officials of the State Organisation for Registration of Deeds and Properties to Greece will follow shortly in order to consolidate the various aspects of the aforementioned collaboration.
