Final Conference οf the Lion Project

The final conference of the project “Local Alliance for Integration” (LION), of the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund of the European Commission (AMIF-2016-AG-INTE) was held on Friday, November 29, 2019, 09:00 - 18:00, at the Conference Centre of the School of Public Health of the (former NSPH/ESDY), 196 Alexandra Ave., Athens.

After 2-years of actions, in the context of the implementation of the project, the conference was aimed to present its results, which are related to the integration of Third-Country Nationals (TCNs) into the local community, in the fields of healthcare, employment, social care, formal education and intercultural coexistence.

In addition, the main aim of the conference was to create a forum of dialogue, where via the presentations and discussion, it will highlight the needs and challenges of the TCNs, as mapped by the actions of the project, regarding their integration issues in local societies, aiming at networking stakeholders at multiple levels of governance.

The conference brought together, besides the project partners, representatives of organizations of TCNs, local authorities, and policy makers, as well as academics and researchers involved in integration issues of TCNs in the fields of healthcare, employment, social care, formal education and intercultural coexistence.
