EPLO’s European Institute of Management and Governance organizes a conference on: “Stress and psychosocial risks’ management in the public sector”, in cooperation with the Ministry of Labor, Social Security and Welfare aiming to inform and sensitize on the issue.
The event will take place on Tuesday, December 16th at the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry auditorium (7 Akadimias ave) at 9.30 am.
This conference falls under the European campaign of “Safe and Healthy Workplaces 2014-2015” conducted by the European Organization for Safety and Health at Workplaces” (EU-OSHA).
The psychosocial risks and work stress are characterized as some of the biggest challenges in the work safety and health sector.
Not only do they affect workforce’s health, businesses’ and organizations’ efficiency, national economies but also the European economy in total.
According to researches, one out of six employees will face mental health problems during their working life, while 50-60% of the days lost at work is the consequence of work stress and psychosocial risks.
