The EPLO organized a study visit of Bosnian representatives from the Tax Administration office of Brcko in Greece on 25 - 29 March 2008, within the framework of the Project “DIOKLITIANOS - Implementation of EU practices in the field of taxation in the Brcko District, Bosnia and Herzegovina”. The Bosnian delegation consisted of Mr. Borisa Dragicevic, Chief Inspector for Big Legal Entities, Mr. Ilija Lamesic, Chief Inspector for Control of Small and Medium Enterprises, Ms. Slavica Vujic, Adviser to the Director for issues related to Tax Collection and control, Ms. Admira Mujic, Expert Adviser for Coercive Collection Issues, Ms. Mirjana Djokic, Head of Department for Tax Defining and Collection , Mr. Muamer Ahmetspahic, Chief Inspector for Investigations and Information , Mr. Safet Rizvanovic, Internal Controler for Taxation, Mr. Mato Lucic, Director of the Directorate for Finances of Brcko District and Mr. Miodrag Trifkovic, Director of the Tax Administration Office.
The delegation had meetings with Ms. Vasiliki Samara, Head of the Financial Department of the Hotel Resort Plaza, Ms. Maria Triantafyllou, Director of the Piraeus Taxation Office in the Control Department, Mr. Ampeliotis, Director of the Transregional Control Center of Athens (DEK), and Mr. Konstantinos Lymperis, Deputy Director of DEK. Moreover, the Bosnian delegation also had consecutive meetings at the Special Financial Investigation Service of the Hellenic Ministry of Economy and Finance (YPEE) with Mr. Karamanos, Director of the Special Operational service, Mr. Spyros Anagnostou, Assistant Director of the same service, Mr. Vasilios Vlahakos, Head of the 9th Control Department, Mr. Konstanteas and Mr. Mantouvalos, Director and Deputy Director of the Administrative department of the Attica regional bureau, respectively, Mr. Apostolos Tsigakos and Mr. Menelaos Tsouplakis, Director and Assistant Director of the Administrative Support department, respectively, Mr. Yannis Mavrodotis, Head of the International Cooperation bureau, Ms. Vasilopoulou, Assistant Director of the Special Affairs Department, Mr. Alexopoulos, Head of the Department for planning and co-ordinating controls, Mr. Ilias Fotopoulos, Head of the telecommunications department, Mr. Koulomatis, Head of the Department of Customs Control for smuggling, Ms. Eleni Skrimpa, Head of the Drugs and weapons Department, Mr. Dimitrios Kouvaris, Head of the enforcement Unit, and Mr. Spyros Kladas, Secretary General of YPEE.
The Bosnian delegation also participated in a cocktail reception held on the 28th of March by his Excellency the Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Greece, Mr. Milovan Blagojevic, at the premises of the Embassy.
Ms. Irene Mikelis, Associate Researcher / Project Manager of the EPLO, and Ms. Tatjana Jankovic, Local Coordinator of the EPLO in Brcko, represented the EPLO in the aforementioned study visit.
