The EPLO, in collaboration with the Office of the Minister of State for Administrative Reform in Lebanon, organized the third and last seminar on “Better Regulation”, within the framework of the Project “ALEXIOS - Administrative Reform in Lebanon”.
The speakers in this event included representatives from the Ministry of Interior, Public Administration and Decentralization of Greece and the Greek Ombudsman.
The audience consisted of Lebanese civil servants from the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Energy and Water, the Ministry of Administrative Reform, the Ministry of Public Works and Transport, the Ministry of Labor and the Ministry of Interior and Municipalities.
The following issues were discussed during the seminar:
- Structure and Policies of the Ministry of Interior, Public Administration and Decentralization of Greece
- Guiding principles for quality and efficiency of regulations
- The role of the Greek Ombudsman in the relation between the Public Administration and the citizen.
- The role of the Ombudsman in the EU public administration systems.
The Lebanese civil servants had also the opportunity to visit the Ministry of Interior, Public Administration and Decentralization of Greece and the Council of State.
