PROJECT TITLE: LEONARDO II-III - PAIDEIA I - II - Global Education: Towards a Cooperation between Universities / Third Sector in the Field of Human Rights

OVERALL OBJECTIVE: To continue the mission of global education through the increase of human competences. The project was addressed to graduate students of LUISS University, particularly those who had a strong commitment to International Law and Economics.
ACTIVITIES:
The initiatives aimed not only at giving an educational opportunity tailored to the students, but more generally wanted to realize some of the community educational objectives described by the Bologna process and herby translated into the process of internationalization of universities and the qualitative improvement of education. It also wanted to foresee and obtain a close integration between universities and the Third Sector, through a trans-national exchange of good practices and a reciprocal promotion of knowledge.
Project activities were the following:
- Starting from March 2005, several graduate students from LUISS University of Rome were hosted at the EPLO and trained in the field of International Cooperation and Human Rights. By the end of this project twelve graduates completed their research period;
- Part of the EPLO staff and office facilities were devoted to ensure the presence of a tutor and a mentor along with appropriate working conditions.
