PROJECT TITLE: HERMES – Introduction of a European Dimension in the Curriculum of the Law Faculty of the University of Tirana

OVERALL OBJECTIVE: To introduce the European dimension in the legal curricula of the Law Faculty of the University of Tirana. More precisely, it envisaged a radical reform of the curriculum of the faculty of law at all levels.
Specific objectives were:
- To introduce in the curricula of existing courses the European dimension;
- To complete the programs with purely European courses (e.g. European Institutional Law, Competition law etc.);
- The promotion of the European idea in the Albanian society by means of the organization of several seminars for personnel of Tirana University as well as for Albanian civilian and military public servants.
ACTIVITIES:
Main project activities included: mobilization and coordination of expertise, publications on EU Public/Administrative Law, coordination meetings, drafting of teaching materials, training of administrative staff. The project also involved PHD students' mobility from Albania to Italy and France and the organization of study visits to Greece, France and Italy.
