The Lazio Region, in cooperation with the European Public Law Organization (EPLO), is pleased to invite you to save the date for the workshop "Strengthening Civil Protection in Europe: Bridging EU Policy and Regional Action." The workshop will bring together representatives from the EU institutions, national and regional authorities, international organisations, academia, and civil protection experts to exchange views on strengthening civil protection systems across Europe.
The discussion will focus on:
- The EU Civil Protection Framework and the Union Civil Protection Mechanism
- Regional experiences and good practices in emergency preparedness and response
- Early Warning Systems and Disaster Risk Management
- Strengthening cooperation, coordination and resilience through multi-level governance
A networking lunch will follow the workshop, providing participants with an opportunity to continue the discussion and strengthen professional connections.
Speakers will include representatives of DG ECHO, National Dept. of Civil Protection (Presidency of Council of Ministers, Italy) and several different EU regions. The final programme and registration details will be circulated in due course.
