The European Public Law Organization (EPLO) will host the 2026 edition of Roman Woman Ambassador on 23 November 2026 at its Rome premises, marking the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women.
The event will bring together representatives of public institutions, civil society, academia and the media to celebrate women whose professional achievements, social engagement and personal commitment contribute to making Rome a more inclusive, supportive and vibrant city. The event will open with institutional remarks by Prof. Bernardo Giorgio Mattarella, Director of the EPLO Rome Office, alongside distinguished representatives of local institutions and cultural organizations.
During the ceremony, the title of Roman Woman Ambassador 2026 will be awarded to twenty women who have distinguished themselves through their contribution to the community and their commitment to promoting positive social change. A special award will also be presented in recognition of stories of courage, resilience and empowerment, highlighting the importance of combating violence and discrimination against women in all its forms.
More than an awards ceremony, Roman Woman Ambassador aims to create a space for reflection, dialogue and the exchange of experiences. Through the testimonies of the awardees and participants, the event will explore the role of women in contemporary society and celebrate the many ways in which they contribute to the cultural, social and civic life of the Italian capital.
By hosting this initiative, EPLO reaffirms its commitment to promoting fundamental rights, equality, social inclusion and the values that underpin democratic societies and the rule of law.
