Associate Professor Dr. phil. Dora Papadopoulou represented the European Public Law Organization (EPLO), the European Law & Governance University (ELGU) and the European Institute for the Study of Chinese Law, Governance and Civilization (EISCL) at the 2026 Global Governance Forum, held in Xiong’an, China, on 23–25 October 2026.

Dr. Papadopoulou, whose academic specialisations include Political Theory, Governance and AI Governance, participated as a speaker in the thematic panel entitled “Promoting Inclusive and Equitable Development of AI”. Drawing on her expertise in AI governance and the broader political and institutional dimensions of emerging technologies, she contributed to the international dialogue on the development of fair, inclusive and equitable AI governance frameworks. Her participation reflected the direct relevance of her academic expertise to the panel’s thematic focus and the growing importance of interdisciplinary approaches to the governance of Artificial Intelligence.

The Forum brought together representatives from more than 90 countries and international organizations, providing an important international platform for the exchange of views on contemporary challenges in global governance. Dr. Papadopoulou’s participation highlighted the European academic and institutional contribution to discussions on one of the most topical issues in international cooperation.

The presence of EPLO, ELGU and EISCL reflects their ongoing commitment to international academic cooperation, the promotion of dialogue between Europe and China and the exchange of knowledge and expertise on the challenges and opportunities posed by emerging technologies.
