PROJECT TITLE: MYRTALI - Legal Support to the Victims of Human Trafficking from Central and Eastern Europe

COUNTRIES: Greece

OVERALL OBJECTIVE: To combat Human Trafficking in Central and Eastern Europe, through training judges, prosecutors and law enforcement officers on issues related to the treatment of the victims of human trafficking.

ACTIVITIES:

Three seminars were organized in an attempt to raise the attention and interest of the civil servants and other actors dealing with such issues- judges, prosecutors and law enforcement officers. The seminars took place in three different Greek cities, strategically chosen due to their role as sensitive entry-points of the victims of human trafficking: Rethymno (Crete), Komotini and Ioannina.  Speakers included jurists, University professors and experts from various NGOs dealing with such issues.
