Since 2010, the EPLO hosts on an annual basis the Greek-Russian Roundtable Discussions with the participation of representatives of the Hellenic and Russian Supreme Courts, at its Headquarters in Athens.
On 16 october 2013, the fourth Discussion took place on the topic “Topical issues of cooperation in the sphere of extradition and rendering legal assistance in criminal matters. Recovery of assets gained in an illegal way and exported abroad”. With the presence of the former Prosecutor of the Hellenic Supreme Court, Mr. Ioannis Tendes, Representatives of the Russian Federation included the Deputy Head of the Department of extradition – Head of the Third Division of the General Department of International Legal Cooperation, Mr. Sergey Vladimirovich Gorlenko, the Head of the Second Division of the Department of Legal Assistance of the General Department of International Legal Cooperation, Mr. Vyacheslav Ivanovich Mikheev, and the Prosecutor of the Third Division of the Department of Extradition of the General Department of International Legal Cooperation, Mrs. Olga Aleksandrovna Klimova.
The Greek Representatives included Mr. Ioannis Aggelis,Vice Prosecutor, Court of Appeals of Athens, Mrs. Anna Zairi, Prosecutor, Court of Appeals of Athens and Mr. Spyridon Georgouleas, President, Court of First Instance of Athens. The discussion was coordinated by Mr. Georgios Pantelis, Vice President of the Supreme Court.
