A series of discussions have been initiated covering a wide range of issues on the effects of Covid-19 by the EPLO's Sustainable Development Institute in collaboration with diaNEOsis Research and Policy Institute.
The Institute for Sustainable Development of the European Public Law Organization (EPLO) and DIANEOSIS, wanting to explore the effects of the pandemic on the process of achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDG's), are organizing a series of online discussions on a variety of topics. The aim is to strengthen the dialogue on the resulting socio-economic issues and to formulate views on the adverse consequences of the pandemic.
All four online discussions will last 45 minutes and the working language will be English.
The first under the title: "Loud Governments - Quiet Social Partners: What can be the role of Social Stakeholders and Civil Society during and after COVID-19?" took place on Thursday 16 April 2020 at 17:00.

- Economic Recovery vs SDGs – for or against each other? Will the Sustainable Development principles and objectives lead to better economic recovery, or will the need for quick action render Sustainable Development obsolete?
- After the social glacier: How practices such as social distancing and remote communication and work will shape human societies and the role of technology?
- The silent spring in inverse: Can the imposed quiet over human activities and the comeback of nature teach us something for the future?
