The EPLO organized the first of the three seminars within the framework of the Project "DIOKLITIANOS - Implementation of EU practices in the field of taxation in the Brcko District”. The title of this three-day seminar was “Tax incentives under Greek and European legislation – tax treatment of each type of company” and it took place at the premises of the Brcko Youth Center.
The speakers in this event included Mr. Theodoros Floratos, first level graded Customs Officer and Department Director of Controls in Finance’s Crime Corp of Persecution (SDOE), Ms. Maria Triantafyllou, Director of the Piraeus Taxation Office at the Controls Department, and Mr. Minos Tzimas Former Director General, Minister of Finance, Greece.
The audience consisted mainly of Tax Administration employees, representatives of the Government and specifically from the Department for Economic Development, the Directorate for Finances and the Legal Team, 15 participants in total.
The following issues were discussed during the seminar:
- European Union and the SMEs
- Taxation in Greece and the European Union
- Types of enterprises in Greece
- Enterprises' Taxation
- Institution of the SMEs in Greece and
- Taxation of the familial income
Ms. Tatjana Jankovic, Local Coordinator of the EPLO in Brcko, represented the EPLO in the aforementioned seminar.
